I am currently a software engineer at Meta. I am interested in backend development and increasing efficiency of our code!
GPA: 3.91 / 4.0
As a software engineer, I worked on Public Groups on Facebook in an effort to increase participation and engagement. As a part of this, I ran a negative test to understand how important Facebook public groups were to users and Facebook.
After taking computer architecture, I worked with Professor Fletcher to create rubrics for assignments and grade them.
As a software engineering intern, I developed a system which would improve the social graph by allowing users to be matched to others who have their email address etc.
As an SDE Intern, I designed how a backend service and frontend should interact. Then I used Java to implement and test the APIs which would aggregate data from different services. Then I used React.js, in combination with the Leaflet.js library, to build a highly intuitive and customizable tool for developers to use and get a view of the full picture of the data.
As an Information of Technology intern, I was tasked with deploying/installing complex software around the company and documenting processes to fix computers. One such operation was recovering the data in a Windows machine of which the owner had lost his password. I was able to successfully bypass the login mechanism, thereby saving the critical data on the machine. Then I was asked to document the process for future reference. In addition, I attended phone support lines to help employees with technical issues they were facing.
Assisted community members use computers at my local library. I showed them how to use the printer, use the web browser, and use the Office™ suite.
When I am not working on code, I spend time working on math problems. I truly enjoy spending time working to find how to simplify a problem.
When forced outdoors though, I like to go running, socialize, or eating.
